Plans and limits
Tier comparison, what each tier unlocks, and where each limit is enforced. Per-account pricing, never per-seat.
Frostbyte has four tiers: Free, Indie, Studio, and Enterprise. Pricing is flat per account, never per-seat. Adding a junior dev or a designer doesn't change your bill; the whole team gets the same access for one price.
Tier overview
| Tier | Price (yearly) | Price (monthly) | For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Solo developers starting out |
| Indie | $16/mo | $19/mo | Small teams building products |
| Studio | $29/mo | $39/mo | Teams shipping multiple projects |
| Enterprise | Contact us | Contact us | Larger organisations |
Hard limits
Each limit is enforced server-side at every creation path. Hitting a cap blocks the create action with an upgrade prompt.
| Limit | Free | Indie | Studio | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Projects | 1 | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Collaborators per project | 1 | 5 | 10 | Unlimited |
| Active tasks (across projects) | 100 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Areas per project | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Releases per project | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Pending signals per project | 20 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
An active task is any task not yet done. Done tasks don't count, so completing a task frees a slot.
A pending signal is a signal you haven't reviewed yet. Accepting or dismissing one frees a slot immediately, and the cap only applies to signals you capture manually; submissions through your public Feedback Portal are always accepted. The limit reads from the project owner's plan, so a project owned by a Free account stays capped even when a collaborator is on a paid plan.

Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If a downgrade would put you over a cap, say 8 collaborators dropping to a 5-cap tier, you can stay on your current plan, remove members to fit, or upgrade back. Frostbyte doesn't auto-remove members.
See Billing & credits for the Stripe portal flow.
