Auto project setup
Optionally generate areas, releases, and starter tasks after creating a project immediately.
Auto project setup is an opt-in AI flow that appears once after a fresh project is created. Project creation itself is immediate. Add one context reply and Frostbyte inserts a starter set of areas, releases, and opening tasks.
When it fires
Right after project creation, you'll see a centered Start with a focused plan prompt on the dashboard. Add context and generate a starter plan, or choose Skip for now to close it permanently.
You can skip it, the project is fully usable with empty areas and releases. Auto setup is for "I want a starting structure to push off from" rather than "I need scaffolding to be productive".
What you provide
A single context reply: what the product is, who it's for, what stage it's at, and what should happen next. Frostbyte prefills the reply from your project description. Two to four sentences is plenty. Examples:
- "A SaaS dashboard for indie developers to track API usage. MVP stage, auth, basic charts, billing."
- "A side project for organising my home recipes. Just started; no users yet."
- "A B2B email automation tool. Already shipped v1; planning v2 with templates and segments."
You don't need to enumerate features. The bootstrap reads the description and infers a reasonable structure.
What you get back
Frostbyte generates:
- 3–6 areas, like Auth, Billing, API, UI for a typical SaaS.
- Two starter releases, with the first promoted as the active plan.
- 5–15 opening tasks, concrete, scoped to fit in the proposed release, tagged to the proposed areas.
Successful generation inserts the plan immediately. You can edit or delete every generated item afterward.
Cost
Generating the starter plan consumes 5 AI credits. Skipping setup costs nothing. See AI overview for the full credit model.
What's stored
The generated areas, releases, and tasks land in your project as if you'd created them by hand. They're all editable, deletable, and assignable like any other entity. GitHub is not required during setup and can be connected later.
Free tier
Auto setup is available on every tier. The 10-credit Free pool lets you run it twice before hitting zero, designed so you can evaluate it on a couple of projects before committing to a paid plan.
What's next
